What is your source of Collagen?

"Type II Collagen makes up 10% of the total collagen in the body and 50-60% of the protein found specifically in our cartilage. Type III Collagen - Found with Type I in Porcine (pig) Collagen and Bovine (cattle) Collagen which is from Bovine hide. "Type III Collagen is the second most abundant collagen in tissues; most commonly in tissues with elastic properties such as skin, lungs, intestinal walls and walls of blood vessels." Our Chocolate comes from 100% Hydrolzed Beef Collagen which includes (Type l and Type lll) However, Our strawberry includes a collagen that is derived from pork skin, which is the most similar to the human body (Type l and Type lll). https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6891674/

The Collagen we use is Hydrolyzed, What does this mean exactly?

Hydrolyzed protein is also known as predigested protein. The Collagen we source is predigested by being broken down into its simplest form of amino acids. After consumption, your body doesn’t have to break down the protein as it has already been predigested. This helps avoid bloating and helps promote faster absorption.

I am pregnant, is your ice cream safe to eat?

Our ingredients are listed and in very low amounts, however we always love to ensure that everyone does their own research to identify what makes them feel most comfortable for themselves and their body. We always recommend to talk with your doctor or physician, however,

"All Peptide collagen (aside from marine collagen) is safe during pregnancy, but it is always best to check with your doctor or midwife before starting any supplement or medication. Why take collagen during pregnancy and breastfeeding? It supports skin elasticity." https://www.adashiko.com/blogs/news/pregnant-heres-what-you-need-to-know-about-collagen
